Omicron and OSIsoft

Omicron Consulting worked for over 15 years as the leading OSIsoft development partner and direct services provider, developing and utilizing the Real-time Performance Management (RtPM) Platform as well as the array of supporting products and tools. In addition, Omicron’s joint efforts contributed greatly to OSI’s advancement in the areas of RT WebPart application development, PI Infrastructure, System Integration Services, Batch Specific Services and Custom Application Development.

Since 1991, Omicron has maintained a unique relationship with OSIsoft, serving for 15+ years as its leading development partner and as a worldwide consulting directing the implementation of OSI products at client sites. In early 2004, Omicron became the first Gold Partner in the OSISoft Partner program.

During our 15+ years as development partner, we maintained the core teams that lead to the development of ProcessBook, RTWebParts and many of the other commonly used OSISoft client tools. Concurrently, Omicron has been recognized as one of the leading Microsoft consulting partners in the world. The cross section of these skills and experience, combined with our understanding of the Process Industry, has position Omicron to support clients of both organizations to insure their success. Playing a dual role to support Microsoft infrastructure and development tools, while also guiding the implementation of OSISoft’s Microsoft-based products has insure a comprehensive approach to our clients’ projects. In this fashion we consolidate under one roof a responsibility for high performance of both the project and the solution.

To be more specific, Omicron has been a strategic partner taking OSIsoft’s software products through major stages of growth, version planning & migration. Omicron Consulting has been recognized for its work and certification in the area of Quality Management and has been independently certified to perform validation studies and compliance consulting, as well as the new Sarbanes-Oxley compliance management. Omicron has performed validation work of a variety of styles in the Refining, Power, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical and related manufacturing industries. Omicron performs validation compliance services for FDA, EPA, CRC, 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP, GLP, GCP, OSHA, PSM, EPA RMP and other such regulatory requirements.
