Identifying these business processes and their impact if they are automated can be a daunting task for someone who is not experienced with BPM. Omicron’s "Business Process Management (BPM) Assessment" is designed to enable Omicron to perform the correct analysis to identify business processes that are candidates for automation. Omicron will then develop a systems architecture based upon Microsoft’s BizTalk Server that will support the automation of the identified business process. Finally, Omicron will provide an implementation plan that will provide the customer with total implementation costs, timelines, resource requirements and an ROI.

General Offering Description: The following is a general description of the “Business Process Assessment” offering.

A. Business Process Assessment

Omicron will work with the client to understand their current business and business processes. Omicron will then analyze the business processes and determine which ones are candidates for automation. Omicron will then create the high level process flow for the selected business processes. Finally, Omicron will prioritize the selected business processes starting with the one with the greatest ROI potential.

B. Solution Architecting

Omicron will develop a high-level Business Process Management solutions architecture which is based upon Microsoft’s BizTalk Server. This will require Omicron to:

  • Understand Client’s Existing Infrastructure
  • From the information gathered in the Business Assessment step identify processes that are candidates for automation
  • Develop a representative High Level System’s Architecture which will include the integration of BizTalk into the Client System’s Environment

Omicron will develop a Straw-Man systems architecture for Client. The architecture is not intended to be a compressive and detailed listing of all the uses for BizTalk within Client, however it is intended to be a representative architecture demonstrating how BizTalk will automate the targeted business processes. This High-Level architecture will be documented in a Power Point Presentation. Omicron will then meet with Client to review the Architecture.

C. Implementation Planning

Upon completion of the solutions architecture, Omicron will work with Client to develop a phased implementation plan for implementing of the Business Process Management Platform within the Client’s environment. The implementation plan will identify the required phases, steps, time, costs and resources. The implementation plan will also provide a project ROI to demonstrate the value of the project.
