"Surface more Insights" from PI Data, using Asset Intellect and Alarm Sentinel
Generating insights from massive quantities of streaming data & events is a mission critical activity in the process industries. Dimension Software, the maker of Asset Intellect and Alarm Sentinel have made this task easier by developing a scalable and configurable PI AF layered application that can get this job done.
The result is a turbocharged PI System® delivering more value from PI Data, integrating DCS alarms & events, along with PI Event Frames.
Whether your interest is OEE, process safety, asset performance or advanced analytics, this seminar is an opportunity to hear from users who have implemented Asset Intellect and Alarm Sentinel. sharing their experiences.
The seminar is held at the Eldridge Costumer Connection Center located at 757 North Eldridge Parkway.

Time at risk via Alarm Sentinel
Abstract - Plant safety is critical for AmSty. A safe plant means an efficient plant, with reduced time at risk. Hear from Alan Clark, Process Control Manager at AmSty who will talk about time at risk and how, using Alarm Sentinel, they were able to identify the processes that require additional attention, ensuring their plants are operating in a safe and efficient manner.
About AmSty - AmSty is a leading integrated producer of polystyrene and styrene monomer. A joint venture equally owned by Trinseo LLC and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP. AmSty is the second largest polystyrene producer and third largest styrene producer in the Americas.

Global process control integrity index
Abstract - The Process Control Integrity (PCI) Index is an initiative that defines a metric for the measurement of Process Control Integrity at Rio Tinto. Although using the basic process control system (BPCS) as their first layer of protection against process excursion or other events that have a potential process, safety or environmental impact, Rio Tinto wanted to utilize a PCI Index Matrix to understand how well the BPCS is managing the process. Hear from Trudy Falconer, Principal Advisor Process Control System at Rio Tinto as she discusses how the PCI Index initiative came about and how it was approved as a group metric across Rio Tinto.
About RioTinto - Operating in 35 countries, Rio Tinto is the world's second-largest metals and mining corporation. Primarily focused on the extraction of minerals, Rio Tinto also has significant operations in refining, particularly the refining of bauxite and iron ore.

Our Journey to “on time” OEE
Abstract - Carlos Mendoza, Senior Manager of Process Engineering at Innophos will walk us through the first phase of the journey the company has undertaken to transform and unify OT data management across its global north American operations using Asset Intellect. The presentation will feature how OEE, for example, evolved from a cumbersome compilation using spreadsheets and completed after the facts to near real-time tracking of downtime enabling immediate actions.
About Innophos - Innophos manufactures essential ingredients, chelated minerals, and innovative specialty phosphates to improve quality of life. Forward-thinking and people-centric at heart, the company aims to create value in everything it does. Versatile by nature, Innophos maintains a flexible business model and a diverse organization, so it can continuously adapt as the phosphate, ingredient, and nutrition markets evolve.

From RtWebparts & SharePoint to PI Vision & Asset Intellect
Abstract - The combination of RtWebparts from OSIsoft and Microsoft's SharePoint was state-of-the-art technology for developing information portals in the process industries over a decade ago. Today, the need for a central location where OT data can be accessed and visualized remains but the paradigm has shifted and the task is simplified. Christopher Dumas, Delivery Manager at Omicron and Asset Intellect product specialist will explain how this transformation can be done.
About Omicron - Omicron is an authorized value-added reseller of Dimension Software and a registered partner in the OSIsoft Partner Ecosphere. The company specializes in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting systems and applications involving the PI System of OSIsoft and third-party solutions like Asset Intellect and Alarm Sentinel of Dimension Software.
13:30 to 13:45
PI Transformation
Abstract - Patrice Taylor, Solutions Analyst at QAL will talk us through their PI transformation journey. A long-time PI user, QAL had developed bespoke applications to work in conjunction with PI but was now left with the challenge of legacy applications that were built on software that is no longer supported or upgradeable. The brief for Queensland Alumina Limited’s transformation project was to deploy a foundational platform for redeveloping the legacy applications into a modern environment while ensuring they were fit for purpose for the business today and in the future.
About Queensland Alumina - Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) is one of the largest alumina refineries in Australia. Located in Gladstone, Queensland, QAL produces around 3.80 million tons of smelter grade alumina per year that is shipped and used globally.

Realizing the Synergy Value between the AVEVA and Dimension Software
Abstract - Craig Harclerode, O&G and HPI Business Development Executive at Aveva (Formerly OSIsoft) will discuss what are the synergies for customers in general, and for those who have the PI System to deliver business value, address GHG mandates, and improve asset performance, reliability and safety. This thought leadership presentation will answer this question by positioning the AVEVA PI System (in particular PI AF) and the broader AVEVA portfolio with the Dimension Software portfolio including Asset Intellect and Asset Sentinel as a powerful combination for the operational digital twin and its relationship to the AVEVA holistic digital twin “system of systems” agnostic, integrated, intelligent industry digital framework.
About Aveva- With the acquisition of OSIsoft, makers of the PI System, Aveva is the largest global industrial software company offering an integrated digital portfolio across the engineer, operate, and optimize segments. Dimension Software and Omicron Development LLC are partners of AVEVA and offer a portfolio of software capabilities largely leveraging the AVEVA PI System.
